This tour takes you to Miravalles, an active volcano, where you will first visit the water plant, a Geothermal Project, where steam from the volcano produces 35% of the area’s electricity! The real fun begins with a 20 minute horseback ride through the rainforest, where you will get to experience the natural beauty of Costa Rica, including wild orchids! Then you will take a short hike to a beautiful waterfall where you can have a brief swim. Next you will explore the volcano’s geysers, steam vents and bubbling mud pots. Then you will enjoy a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch. After, you are welcome to go into the natural mud baths and then take a soak in the volcanic hot springs, where you may see monkeys, toucans and other wildlife.
